Hello, my mk1 golf cabriolet, 1989 1.8gti overheats, well it doesn't. When you get in the car and start her up the temp gauge goes straight to the red and the light is flashing. All the levels are ok. I am just a bit unsure as to what is causing this, could it be a faulty temp sensor? Apart from that the car runs superb.
Any help would be brilliant,
Cheers, Ronnie

Don't worry, I was being a mong about it. It was a sensor but it did not need replaced, it just needed the electrical connection putting back on it. Sorted now thanks anyway.
