Title: USB connector
Post by: BradHarris on 10 November 2006, 20:08
Hi all,
First post...

New order today:
Gone for a "proper" UK spec from a main dealer in the end
- he nearly matched the broker discount of £1200 from drivethedeal.com.
Spec:
Diamond Black 5dr DSG with leather plus 18" wheels, winter pack, lux pack 2, multi function stgr wheel and USB connection in the arm rest.
Don't do much night driving so decided against the xenons.

Dealer knocked £500 quid off and threw in RTI and Autoglym for free.
Worth haggling when you're spending that much cash.

Predicted delivery date is 1st March ... perhaps !!!

A question about the USB port (in the armrest) - salesman wasn't sure...
Anyone out there got one ?
Does it work with any MP3 player (via cable) or just the memory stick types ?
I've seen somewhere that a stick is provided with the car - is this the case, and if so how big is it ?
Will any memeory stick work or just VW supplied ones ?

Thanks Doc.
I haven't got an MP3 player yet or an IPOD so might change the spec to an IPOD connector - I'll have a trawl of posts on that later today.
Any comment ?

Ipod seems most popular.
