Just found out the workshop that was used by TSR has been bought by someone else and is being re-fitted with all new equipment before re-opening for mail order business in December and then the workshop in the new year.
They are having most of the old staff back aswell so that they still have the same in-depth knowledge of VW's.
The only question is what they will be called seeing as it's a new business.... :undecided:
The new owner wants to get it up to the same standards as when Tim Stiles was running it in the good old days

OOOzat then? Here I am in sunny Bridgwater and I never heard this!! I'd be interested to know who's bought it?
-
That is good new's, would appreciate any update too.
-
Dunno who' has got it read it on other forums tho

With TSR being one of the most recongizable brands in the GTI scene it would seem silly to change the name.
-
Must add, Tim Stiles is living in the south of france now messing with 2CV's (as he bought one off my brother to restore) and he was unhappy with the old tsr as the website still showed his picture which made people believe it was still him running the place!!... And from what i believe he still has an early TSR Modified Mk1

I don't think it would be a bad a idea to change the name because even when Tim Stiles no longer owned it the name was the same and a lot of people I know (and me) wouldn't shop with them as I had met Tim Stiles years ago and thought he was an arrogant money grabbing pr!ck. If the name would have changed I would have been happy to spend money with them knowing Tim Stiles was no longer involved with the business.

Great news as long as they still produce the quality products im happy, Plus its only just down the road from me Mrses too

All I know is that it's the bloke next door that's bought the place and is having it all re-fitted with the latest equipment before they re-open.
I'm pretty sure the name will have to change as TSR as a company still owe a lot of people money...
