hi,
anyone out there ever bought a replacement pump please?
Any idea of price and where to find one?
Thanks!
-
i have one sitting around somewhere -
dont know how much they cost - however if you are interested make us an offer.
-
test your existing one first, u can operate the gate on the pump by hand, if there is power reachins the pump then the doors will lock & unlock
if there is no power going to it then it'll do nothing
-
thanks for the reply,
I found one on ebay that sold at the beginning of this month for ?10 plus postage.
is that any use to you?
Thanks
-
gambit,
thanks for the testing suggestion, I'll go and try that and see if it works.
-
that will do,ill check to see if i still got it when io get home later today - then ill pm you.
-
thanks,
if you could check and then let me know I'll see your post when I get back into work tomorrow am.
thanks again.
ps. i did try to test it, but no sound of the motor. thanks for the idea though.

can you check to see if your getting power to the pump itself. it has continuous power even with the ignition off. multi meter, or else run a wire from the battery to the pump
the pumps dont fail but the wire giving power to it usally breaks somewhere between the drivers door and the boot

If thers a problem with the pump then......

Hello
Gambit - thanks for the very helpful advice to check the power wire. I bought this car from my brother two months ago and just asked him, he said he got this checked, the power did work, so it appears I do need a new pump.
MK2 - thanks for the link to the pump on ebay, very grateful, I never spotted that.
:-)

I have a pump mate - in good working order.
