Title: Did I damage my car?
Post by: Len on 09 November 2006, 10:54
Ummm battery went flat and my first attempt to start it was using a spare battery with jump leads!
Well in haste and dark I connected up the terminals the wrong way round! heard some weird kind of clicking noise. Was only hooked up for max 10 seconds.

I then took out the battery and swapped them over and car started fine and drove fine too!

But should I check anything else?
I only drove it in town so dont know if revs are limited etc. (safety mode)

Comments please!

Hi mate I think your panicking if the bat was flat and you tried to start your motor the clicking you would of heard was the starter trying to get some bat juice so it could turnover your motor no real biggy!

That's fair enough Len, I wouldn't either...

On a serious note - I guess all you can do is try driving the car and see what it's like...check everything works as normal etc...

The boiler suit got famous around here coz I posted a pic of me wearing it!
But it was made up for Run to the Sun and has only been worn at that event!
Everyone dresses up in mad outfits at that event so it wasnt out of place!

Yea gues that all I can do Daz.
