Any way of turning the rear wiper on without the water works coming on?

if you do it too soon after the first time it just carries on , so wait a few seconds .

well guess what i did over the weekend whilst helpin my bro mint up his MK3...

He had put the wrong size wiper blade on it as the twits at GSF had asked him if he had a roof spoiler, and he told them yes but without him realising they'd given him a Bosch blade that was too long...

so anyways he puts his wiper on and gets stuck doesn't it...

and when i went to try and ease it back....SNAP!

bastewards at GSF, that's the second time those monkeys have given us the wrong part - first time they gave me the wrong sized drive belt even though i told them the car as AC...

Anyway's quick visit to my local VW breakers, got a wiper arm with blade for a fiver!

that's my little story...moral, always check you have the right part even if someone you think is competent has given you the right part...
