8v 84gti. Just got back from driving around.
Parked the car to notice that the fan kept running after the ignition was switched off. I know it does that normally. This time the fan chose to keep going for about 20 minutes..I had to unplug it cause it would of kept running and drained the batt.
Is there a bad switch or can it be part of my other problem I have posted?
1 problem after the next. Still love my DUB!!!!

The fan can & will run with the engine off, the feed to the fan switch is permanent live :)
If the fan still comes on when the engine is cold, start by checking the plug at the base of the radiator. I think on early K-Jet cars like yours, there is an extra sensor screwed to the inlet or zaust manifold somewhere, which also causes the fan to run.

So.. one switch on the rad,and maybe one on the exaust manifold. They seem pretty easy to replace. Thanx. Ill let you know how that goes.
