Having just come in from working on the car because its raining yet again I was just wondering who has to brave the elements and who has the pleasure of a garage.
I unfortunately have to reinact the perfect storm.
-
same here!! no garage for me!!! washed cars in dizzel this morn!!, then did a few bit on mk2 in RAIN, then sun cam eout to take a few pics for new sig etc, then RAIN again!! pants i tell the!!!! ;D

Was just quickly washin mine the day(only ok day weve had and it really needed it) n it started raining so sorry mod, that rain was probs my fault!Happens practically everytime i wash it! :-\

oh yeah wanted to get me calipers painted on mk4 today but RAIN stopped play!!! boo hoo, will i ever get em done before newark??????? ???

I give up on doing stuff in the rain. I keep my mk2 in a garage near my mum's (cos when it rains, it leaks :()
Bought a new back box for it, still need a caliper though.....and my mate gilb said he would help me fit it :)
-
depends on whether our garage is full of junk or not.. lol
always find it rains when the bonnets up.. lol
-
Everyone I know who has a garage never uses it for working on the car, just a place to put old prams and pushbikes.
-
lol! garage is full of s**t! ;D
-
Ooooo, I rent one from the council ESPECIALLY for my mk2 :)
(oh and it also houses my lovely Raliegh Grifter, and some Raleigh Bomber bits that I hope to make into a bike one day...lol)
-
GRIFTER! thats a blast from the past! :)
-
I know!!!! I bought it off ebay (surprise, lol) VERY comfortable to ride, plus its got 3 gears!!!!!
-
I used to have a striker in green.
-
Oooooo...there is a really nice NOS grifter on ebay at the mo.....?200!!!!!!
*I need it!!*
-
your both sad! :P ;)
-
I was too young for a grifter *sob*
I think they stopped making them in the early eighties....my first bike was an orange Halfords bmx!!!
-
I'd love to get a raleigh chopper, but then I got no garage to put it in ;)
-
I would like a chopper......but they are sooooo expensive :(
Even knackered old ones are often going for over a ton on ebay!
Stick to me nice cheap Grifter Ii think!! (Might spray it the same color as me golf :))
-
I have a garage but the lighting sucks and their isn't a door. lol. more like a carport I suppose. If it was my house I would put a door on and install flouresent lighting and probably add a radiator but I don't want to put all the money into someone elses home. :)
-
I have my mk1 in my aunts garage and my house mate has a unit where I do most of my work but I cant leave any car there for long so its only for jobs that take a couple of days max. Great to get out of the rain though. I will be taking my mk1 engine there soon to strip it down on his engine bench. I also have a chopper but its one of the small ones, are they worth much?

Skyway mags. hadn't thought of those in years. I had a skyway BMX as a kid. I traded it for a hutch trickstar and then traded that for a mongoose. never was much orf a skate boarder but was into BMX. :)

I used to have great BMX when I was about 14 - think it was called a Scorpion Breakdancer - used to have twin cross bars, twin back brakes - one on the seat stays, and one on the chain stays, Mag wheels, and other trick bits. Havent a clue what happened to it - but reckon it would still turn heads today
