Title: RCD500 - MP3 capable?

Hi,

Taken delivery of my new Golf GT TDi today. It's got the ability to take 6 discs within the head unit but doesn't seem to play MP3's. If I stick an MP3 disc in it gives one tone and displays the 'CDROM' message.

Should this unit be able to handle MP3?

No.
I had a VW ipod adapter fitted in the glovebox.
