Mk3 GTI. Is there a gearbox drainer? also what oil should i put in? and how much?
Fancy doing a big service so will do gearbox if possible!

Yes, the Gearbox has a drian plug and a level plug. It's a hexagon shaped plug on the differential housing I beleive. I'll try and find a picture.
I think the gearobx (depending on model No.) takes 2 litres of oil. It's 75/90 gear oil I beleive
Follow this link to the bentley manual, it's not all in English but you can normally find your way around the info.

The link is for a rod change box and yours may be cable change so slightly different, but the drain & filler plugs should be pretty much in the same place.
