Title: vr6 power steering problems
Post by: Mr Blue on 02 November 2006, 20:21
hi

picked up a vr6 highline a few mins ago

saw power steering fluid on the floor and the car had lost its PAS.

Any common areas to look at first thing in the morning?

rack or pump? hmmm

I would check the hoses and joints first.

follow the hose from the pump which is screwed in, it has a connection between the rubber & metal end, on my PAS kit this was loose and it spat out all my fluid!  Worth checking :)

chers

rite. checked it out today. The power steering pipe has corroded.

Does anyone have an etka diagram of the power steering setup on a vr6 for me?

the pipe is the one under the ABS pump. ontop of the steering rack, closest to the break lines.

looks expensive :lipsrsealed:
