Title: HELP 1992 1.4i SPi round airbox Cant find parts, trying to fit induction
Post by: james_littler on 02 November 2006, 08:34
Please someone help, i am having real problems finding parts for my car, i have managed an exhaust (wether it is the right one remains to be seen) but i am trying to fit an induction kit for the obvious reason of a cold air feed but i cannot source one so i am attempting to fabricate a reducer and connector pipe to fit a green cotton dual cone.

if anyone knows of where i can find parts for a Mk3 1992 1.4i SPi with a round airbox, or looks at this and thinks pfff  stupid and has a better idea please please contact me.

thankyou

James

get a panel (or in your case big ring shaped) filter. open cone filters will make performance worse due to sucking in hot air. Then , run some cold air ducting from the drivers side vent next to the fog/indicator upto the nozzle thing that comes of your filter housing.

you can modify the airbox of a 1.8SPI Passat/MK3 to fit I think :)
