What specific areas should I look at on the Rallye she has done 50,000 miles and garaged since 1994 registered in 1989.
Has anyone converted the Kilometer Per hour clock (NON SE owners) to a 16V GTI clock for MPH Clock?
Lights on SE models I noticed a switch for RHD or LHD which just converts the reflectors via a pull switch, is this only on a SE?
Any specifc things I can do whilst inspecting the Rallye?
Cheers!

You cant use 16v clocks, the g60/rallye ones are specific as they have to handle boost. You can however swap the speedo or even just the dial face though, as long as the max. speed matches up. You'll want to keep the original speedo so you can convert it back to original when(if!!) you ever sell it ;)
RHD/LHD lights are fitted to all Rallye models :)
Arches & Sills are a weak point on these cars, apart from that its a MK2 with all the usal MK2 problem areas. Other than that, find out when the charger was last serviced, check the AWD system for any obvious problems as well as the exhaust. Both items are Rallye/G60 specific and not cheap to replace!

Ok thanks for that rubjonny I have a one more question if anyone can help
Where do I locate the engine nuber on that plant and can someone send me a picture of where is it also what does the numbers start with I thought it was started with an H?

It should be on the flat area at the top of the bottom end, just below the head between spark plugs 3 & 4. Good luck seeing it though, usually the block is too corroded to see it. You can also find it on the inside cover of the service manual, the sticker inside the boot and sometimes on a barcode sticker on top of the cambelt cover.
PG springs to mind, but thinking about it that might be from the lump out of the G60, and the Rallye lump differs.
Edit: I think its 1H looking at ETKA :)
