Title: cabriolet hood motor/pump
Post by: exxy101 on 31 October 2006, 17:40
just fitted new pump for the electric hood on my 97 golf. the pump operates but it takes 8 secs before the hood moves then it works fine, then another 8 secs before the hood will return to its final position.is there a correct way of bleeding the sytem? ive tried many ways but no better....

There's no other mk3 cab owners on here that I know of but I know that my mk1 doesn't start moving straight away, it does take a second or so to kick in but it's not as long as 8 seconds, maybe there's an airlock in the system somewhere but I don't know how to bleed the system.
