If you can plug an amp with a sub running off it into the Mk4 Gti Head Unit? the Gamma one?  :laugh:
Can't really afford a new head unit yet, but I am making my boot install. Thanks

Even if the HU doesn't have un-amped preouts, a lot of amps accept hi-level inputs intended for speakers, so you could just take a couple of speaker wires into the amp.

So yes, it's possible with the right amp (the £35 one I got off ebay would do this...)
