is this a 8 or a 16valve if any1 can tell i came across it for sale on the net and it looks good for 650quid

I copied it off and zoomed in and you cant really see if it has an bee sting or not. I would say 8 valve

I'd give them a call like everyone is saying. I can't see if it has a 16V badge in the grille or not. from the black VW roundel in the grille I would say 16 but no telling.

It seems like every 16V I see has the black roundel in the grill and the 8V has a chrome one. Anyone else notice this?

Don't the 16valves have a red16v badge in the side trim? I cant see it, so would reckon it is an 8

I think the big bumper cars have 16V badges on the side trim but I might be wrong on that.

 big bumper model  16v badges same as yours 8916vGTI grill
rear and glove box.side stripes same as 8v just the GTI in red badge..

not really sure. I have seen 16v cars with 16v badges in the side trim where the GTI badges usually are but then again trimsport sells badges to go in there. :) As for the grille badge. Most of the 8v cars I have seen around here have chrome badges. thought maybe it was a 16v thing to have the black badge. lol. not too sure.

no didnt make this one bro-in-law found it on the web,gonna have a crack at one have made other stuff in past stainless back boxes, chrome/stainless dressin parts re-routed induction kits and other bits and bobs when I have the time

am a fabricator/engineer by trade so it more or less comes second nature started out many years back making back boxes for my old 205gti and the old 5 turbo`s,got into my VW`s and fully restored an old mk1GTI cab then it just evolved from that the valver was another  project now the misses has blagged my old 8v, :)
