Title: Mk1 with poorly engine. How much?
Post by: pug_sport on 26 October 2006, 21:34: I have been offered a mk1 gti on an X plate it looks in good condition and looks standard in Mars red and it's had a big brake conversion but the engine has eaten it's insides.
If i was to put another engine in it how much do you think i could sell it for? as im trying to work out how much to pay for it.
I would like to keep it but i already have 3 cars and the other half wont allow it.

Post by: gibby on 27 October 2006, 16:15: It depends on the condition etc, they can go from 1k - 3k+. For a fairly standard looking mars red in working order I reckon you'd be hard pushed to get over Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£1500.
