Title: vinyl strip/stripe on early gti's?

Hi all. Is it possible to get the vinyl strip/stripe that goes around the early gti's?

I take by early you mean small bumper models if so I'd give VW a try, its supprising how many parts they still stock

Just got soem of this From Vizual Impact in bristol, the exact colour and double line design, to redo my driver rear door and below my petrol cap, 2metres for £1.50, bargain  :smiley:

No Matt, this is a half inch or so balck vinyl strip that runs around the whole of the car, from wing to wing, it sits in the crease of the wings/doors and along the top line of the boot.

I had a d reg one with that stripe on it, I would drop a line to eurocarparts.co.uk huw.

Yeh i'm jsut redoing a small section as it's the only bit with damage, mine only runs on the outside, along the sides and that  :smiley:

Try these people on e-bay.  the auction is for the rear hatch one but they mention that they also do the early Mk2 Stripes similar to the Mk1

Cheers, I bought a rear decal from these recently, top quality, much better than the ones dscam was selling. I will email Chris at VW Turbo.

Have made enquiries with VAG about this in the past- apparently they do not make them any more.  I have them all round my 8V if you want to come along with a hair dryer and peel them off- car is off to scrappy in a week or so!
