Im in the process of doing a vr6 conversion
I think the cheapest way is to buy a full donor car
Does anyone know where/or has bought accident damaged vehicles?????? other than chancing on them in yards etc
I basically need either a mk3 golf or vento vr6 or a corrado vr6 for sensible money.
Also if anyone has any input on buying an accident damaged car v's a car that is tatty body work wise eg rusty rear arches dents etc but mechanically sound.
Is there much difference in cost etc
ANY help would be really good
Cheers
Tim

try www.universal-services.co.uk , www.silverlakeautoparts.co.uk , www.centurysalvagesales.co.uk ,
www.cartransplants.co.uk , www.northernsalvage.co.uk , www.hbc.co.uk
there`s a few for you to try. most of these will need you to register to buy, universal and hbc are the biggest, if you just want it for the engine i`d try a vw breakers as they`ve usually ran the engine before selling. at most salvage yards the cars don`t start due to flat battery`s or kill off switches, good luck in your search

Han sounds good, i have £800 to spend
I really want the whole car as i want the dash etc to put into a mk2
Piggots are good but they tend to have smaller cars in and no top end stuff like VR6's etc.
Also cheers for all the links i will get hunting
