Well obvious answer would be either haynes or bentley manuals. (bentley are better)

Other than that, if you give me a list of the things you need to know when i go to work i will have a look on autodata and see what i can find, also ETKA will give you a listing aswell, the only problem being you need someone who will be able to identify things from a picture.

That reminds me i must find my version of ETKA and reinstall it.

...doesn't the Bentley manual cover the V6 engine? I know the Haynes for the mk3 doesn't cover the VR6 yet the Bentley does.
Just a thought?

I must be doing something wrong because I can only find this http://www.bentleypublishers.com/product.htm?code=A697

and $250 for a manual well seems a bit steep! But they do a 3 day web subscription so I'll prob get that n download as much as possible or copy it in crayon

Or you could put a plea in the mk3 section for someone with a scan of the Bentley book on CD for about £2.50....?

You can get it on cd
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1,1&item=270015625489&ih=017&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWA%3AIT

I assume that is what you are looking for, its about 40 quid, far more realistic.
BTW there is a full guide for timing belt, water pump replacement on my site.
If you want any help then give me a shout.
How come you've got one of these motors? they are pretty rare.
