Title: help needed with power steering

can anyone help with this annoying problem and possibly dangerous !!!
when it is wet and im turning corners the power steering on my mk3 golf gti goes really stiff and actually feels at times like the steering locks up. quite un nervingly at times and could be quite dangerous, can anyone help or has anyone had this happen to them ??

replace the belt, there actually should be a splash guard on it, check if yours is missing!

definitly water getting on the bell.i had the same problem , guard was missing.
