Title: Mk1 Caby Fuel Pump ?

Can any one tell me if the Caby fuel pump (89) 1.8 Gti is the same on any other VW model ?
Ie Mk 2 ?

Just to let you know. I just bought a replacement in-tank fuel pump for my GTi from GSF and it is about 10 mm longer than the original (including the small (push fit) filter) which meant is is a really tight fit as the fuel tank is only so deep. Has anyone else had the same problem?
