Do all mk4 gti's come fitted with the trip computer?

I have the stalk buttons but on closer inspection inside the stalk, they are not wired up...?

as far as i know they all come with fully functioning trip computer yes. tours shouold be eworking, and if not ask the prev owner/garage purchased from why not

i have a standerd 1.6s but on the stalk thing i have these buttons which u can click side to side on the top? are these what are used for the trip comp? as how do i know if i have one?

The knoble on the top of the stalk is for the wiper. It dictates the speed of the blades when the stalk is clicked up once

hmmm

going to replace stalk tomorrow...if that doesn't work will possibly change speedo/rev unit...if that doesn't work does anyone have any other suggestions..????
