Title: Fake!!

Following a tornado red mk2 earlier today, with a mk4 "GTI" badge on the back. then i realised it was a small bumper H plate model with a single exhaust, no boot spoiler and no black rear window surround....  :laugh:

needless to say i showed him what a real GTI was...  :cool:

dont think he liked it very much - i probably showed him up as he had some mates in the car!

ive never understood people who do up cars to be sumthing they are not..seen it quite a few times in the ford scene and if ur the one in the car, gettin burned, like u showed today..it just mega :embarassed: ..whats the point?

LOL! it makes me chuckle when you see the little boy racers in mock up cars with their body kits and loud exhausts..... but then a 1l engine underneath!!  :grin: i have never seen a golf made to look like GTI though.... why would u wanna do that  :undecided:

Im in the same boat as you lot on this one... I saw a 1.4 Mk4 badged as a GTi on the weekend and I knew this since a) he pulled up at the lights and b) I handed his ass to him and I was in my 1.4

Just goes to show he couldnt drive either  :grin:

I love it when that happens!

However im having my mk2 vr6 look like a 1.6 driver just for the fun factor of people thinking your car is slow and then leaving them for dead in what looks like a std driver
