It started when my front subframe gave up the ghost and sent the car half way across the road. So off it came and the new one went on with some poly bushes. Went to get the steering and tracking aligned and discovered the rear suspension bushes were away too.
So off with the rear cross member and new bushes in there too. When it was off discovered that brake pipes were all rotten, brake pads needed replaced and that the exhaust downpipe was all cracked. So new brake pipes made.
Broke a manifold bolt when taking off the downpipe and it had to be removed, bolt removed and retapped.
Cars in bits, engines half apart, rear suspensions in bits, exhaust is off. And to top it all, the big rubber boot that goes between the body to the steering rack has just disintegrated in my hands. Oh and its freezing outside.
Got in the house and my wife has smashed the glass in the cooker while she was cleaning it and was sitting in a pile of glass bubbling.
Im really not having a good day and require much sympathy.
Thanks

Oh god, thats not sounding good.
However, read hardcor3's thread - back on home soil, problems with your car ut right back into perspective. Its a car, it can be fixed or at worst replaced. Hope is the former by the way.

Don't let it get you down bro. Just get stuck in and get it sorted out! You will feel so good when you have done it.

Thanks guys, I might of had a few glasses of wine last night.
Called GSF this morning, that rubber boot is 28 quid plus vat + delivery. OUCH.
On the brightside, managed to get an almost new standard exhaust system including the downpipe which is still shiny for under 80 on ebay.
Hoping to have the car back on the road by the end of this weekend, weather permitting. Cant do a thing until this rubber boot arrives though, otherwise it will be a bugger to fit with the manifold and exhaust back on.
