Title: Esso premium (97 RON) Fuel

Since getting my GTI it has only had Vpower (and Ãƒâ€šÃ‚£10 of BP ultimate)

To get the VPower is not usually a problem. as I go past a shell on the way to work. However, Just down the road from my house is an Esso and they have a 97 RON (sorry, forgot what they call it) super unleaded.

Is it as good as vpower and ultimate?

been talking to a few mechanics and they reckon not damage to the engine but the performance will not be as good

did you notice any improvement (BHP or MPG) from using normal to VPower?

Post by: Phil mcavity on 26 October 2006, 15:58: ditto, i cant see the difference, my mpg is still identical. i just thinks its abit of a con, as far as im concered, i shop at tesco, cheap fuel and its the same spec as the v power gimic fuel is. it comes from the same refinery, 99 octane is the same no matter how its branded.
