Can you confirm,
My mate has just got a y-plate Gti but on the book it states that it has been chipped by VW and produces 200 BHp instead of 180. Looking through the VW used car finder have also noticed that there are quite a few vw garages offering up 200BHp cars that were ususally ex-demo. Was this a standard VW option or something that only specified dealers offered on a non official basis. Or has anyone got one, is definately quicker than a 180 as i have had a drive and you can fel the difference.

Y plate GTi's were 150bhp not 180bhp - soemthing a bit fishy there!
180bhp GTi's were available in 2002 sometime and the Anniversary models.
