Post by: GTIRacer on 19 October 2006, 18:25
Hi all

In this months performance vw there is a Mk2 golg with Mk3 door handles on just wondering how easy they would be to fit?

I didn't think there was such a thing as a G60 rear bumper
If they were proper mk3 handles then I would expect them to be very very difficult to fit, most people buy the chinese handles that look similar, I got some myself but didn't like them in the end and went back to original mk2 ones.

i took a picture on my phone of the bumper and it was the same as the one on a golf rallye or g60 in this months pvw magazine im not sure if they are the same car the raylle and g60 as im new to golfs i use to have an integra type r. i think i might leave the handles if they are hard to fit

As J_S said, the Mk 3 style handles are probably the Chinese manufactured ones which I think Mr Rabbity imports (Ebay).
Apparently they are still making the Mk2 Jetta there and have put the Mk3 style handles on it to make it look newer than a 23 year old model!!!
Shame they still don't make the Golf eh?!
