Title: Mark 5 engine in a Mark 4?
Post by: Shazza on 18 October 2006, 14:01
Hi Everyone,

I have a Mark 4 which is the 110 Gt tdi but the engine is now knackered, so I'm looking to replace it.
I've been offered a TDI engine from a Mark 5 2.0Gt tdi 170bhp.
I'd be getting the Engine, turbo, gearbox, ecu and the loom.

What I wanted to know was, will this be a straight forward job? Is there anything that I need to be aware of?

You're advice is much appreciated!

Thanks
Shaz

As far as I know it's never been done. You'll have to learn as you go along.. which is always the fun part
