Ok well I have £3000 - £4000 to spend, so what do I buy???? Do I get an older VR6 or do I get a more upto date 1.8t???? Either way I will be looking to do a few mods. Can you tell me what you think..
-
it depends what you want bro and what you are using it for! will it be your daily driver? if you get a vr you should have some change for some wheels and maybe a slam job! :undecided:
-
a £4k 1.8t will be a bit ropey for that cheap i'd say... keep your eyes peeled and buy the best you can find!
-
Buy a Mk2, and a boot full of smack!!
3k will get you a decent average mileage VR, if not a decent 1.8t'd Mk2!
-
id look for a sweet mk2 like lewy said. was offered an etition1 g60 for 2750 the other day. they are about!
-
there's a tidy supercharged vr6 mk2 on edition38 for 3400
-
^^^^ lewy buy that, swap engine flog it on as a 16v! would make the oakgreen hooooott!!
-

Find a MK2 with knackered engine for peanuts, then take it to Andy at PSI tuning he'll then put an Audi S3 1.8T engine and with alittle bit of tuning you will have 280BHP at your foot!!!!! YEEEEEEEAH

I like the sound of this man. How much does he charge for the 1.8T conversion then?

I dont like the wheels its on tbh, bet its soooo bloody fast though!
-
wheels are easily solved, plus its been converted to 5x100 so some nice polished TT comps would go straight on
-

-

i'm tempted to buy shoes with mine atm....
-
im sure woth the spare 600 quid you could get them to remove that stupid caddy panel , and if they are cereful enough im sure some numpty would buy it

When I asked him, he said the engine would be no more than £2000 and the basic conversion is £2000. Go to his garage and have a look, its worth a visit just for a tune up if nothing else.
