If so, whats the part number for the ISV for a '89 8v digifant...?
Cheers
-
i have an ISV out of a later Digi car than mine. the part number is 0 35 133 455 F
dont hold me to that
-
89 8v digi, so I'm assuming its engine code 'PB'
Pt no is: 037 906 457 D
Boy did that take some finding......buried in the engine section.
-
Just checked Blue Mk2's part number and that is a good number for an ISV, but not for your model......just checking what model that applies too.
-
Found it, that part number that Blue Mk2 quoted is for the 16V one ;)
-
so that means i was driving with a 16v ISV on my 8V. does that do any harm rich? :o
-
Don't know what the difference is but I can't see that it would do any harm.
-
I put my original one back one after i polished it up.
I havnt noticed any diffrence in running with the engine.
I was gonna sell it but its worth keeping then ;D
-
Yes Rich, thats the right part number. What does the letter at the end signify? Mine is a C, but you have mentioned D, and the one I might be buying is an A..... whats that all about then?
-
Stupid c... remarks aside- what is one?
-
I noticed that the the 1990 and 1991 had the one with the letter C. 1989 was D
??? ???
Not sure what the difference is.......maybe a slightly different mod state ???
I'm sure if Blue Mk2 has found a 16V one to work fine then yours being a letter out isn't going to make a whole lot of difference.
-
ISV is the Idle Stabilization Valve as fitted to the digifant and 16V models.
-
The numbers at the end indicate an up dated or slighlty different part, they don't change the part number as this would be a pain in the arse so they just use a letter at the end.
Like my heater bezel is 191 919 383 A and a standard model has 191 919 383, The A in mine indicates its for aircon.

Hey wait a minute. You have A/C?!? Now I'm jealous. That must be the top of the range for the year mate. looks imnt to boot. :)
-
Yep Mod's car is bloody mint, definately one of best mk2s around, i used to own it a few years ago myself ;)
-
i would lick it ;)

Damn I thought mine was nice but no A/C. Kinda wish it was a 5 door as well. Car seats are easier. No coplaints though still love it. I'm thinking of importing a 90 or 91 from the U.S. sometime. Eventually I have to go back and I want to be able to take my car with me. :)
