I have found a black wht looks like a plastic clip with the part number 171 721 232 on it in my drivers footwell of my gti was wonderin if any1 cd tell me wht it was or where I could find out what it is please many thks

Its the stop buffer that goes behind the pedal

Hi cheers for tht any ideas if its important as car drives ok and no prob wth the pedals or anything

Its probably just there to stop the pedal clanking on return. It will no doubt just give it all a smoother feel.

I had this problem with mine, and it made the clutch sit higher up, and annoyed me!
