Hello, can anyone please let me know how to remove the drivers air vent and switches. I have popped the vent out and removed the screw at the top but there must be another hidden screw that I can't see.
HELP........
-
you need to pull the light switch out, i used a knife under the switch unit and prised it forward carefully, you should find the whole lot comes out in one barrel.
there is anothe screw behind this which once removed will allow the complete vent unit to pull out.
had to do this when i fitted my boost guage as i wired it into the dimmer switch so i could controll contrast like clocks
hope this makes sense and helps

cheers mate. i'll give it a shot later....

Bullseye.... Got it sorted mate, thanks for the advice. Proved a bit of a bugger but got there in the end. It has two clips on springs but it doesn't give any access to move them up, would love to see how a VW mechanic woud do it. A bit of fettling and it got there.
Thanks again

Alternativly tou could have pressed the light switch in and turned it anticlockwise, this would have released it from the dash :smug:
A little hint for future reference
