I have been a bit worried that my 17" alloys may not fit in the arches with these tyres on: 235/45/17
Will they!? Please help.
By the way, I'm not lazy. It's just I get my car on saturday so I haven't had the chance to check.

Optimum size would be 215 45 17 - Well, on 17" VW Santa Monica's, anyway!
Depends on the width of the wheel, TBH.

Im sure ive seen it been done before, not sure if they went straight on tho. hope this helps.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm not sure exactly the width of the wheels but they look as if they are the same as the tyres.. 235....?
Wish me luck!

They'll probably go under the arches ok - I have no problem with my 225's!
My main concern would be the 'wallowy' feeling you'd get when cornering/changing direction, if they were put on 7J x 17 wheels. (Most rims that run 225 tyres are either 71/2J or 8J wide).

My 225/45/17'S are fine so 235's should fit?
