Hello
Where is original assembled ABS computer in golf MK2
I hear it is in boot, right on lock??
Maybe someone can send me any photo of original kind of assemble???
-
I don't think Mk2's have ABS... :undecided:
-
I think the only ones with abs are the rallye's and some G60's
-
Some of MK2 have AS - so I want to know where ABS computer originally is
-
no UK mk2 golfs came with ABS. only import G60/Rallye's have it.
follow the wiring from an ABS sensor that will lead you to the controller
-
The problem is:
I have original installation of ABS and I want to install it
and I don't know where ABS computer should be to install
-
try pm'ing one of the rallye muppets

There were UK MK2s fitted with ABS, a stupidly low number mind! No idea where the ABS ECU would go though, I'm assuming somewhere near the ECU/TCI unit on the driver side

It sits near or under the boot catch mate. Had a look at my mates G60 which is original as they come. :nerd:

at then end of the day it doesnt matter as long as its all wired up right the actual location dont matter

Er it does, if you give a sh!t for originalty. I'd want it to be original too.

Under the rear boot catch as Matt says.
-
Alright Lee! Did'nt know you hung out round here?
-
i think the designers put it there to prevent damage in the event of a front end smash. you would never need ABS when reversing. lol
