Title: Might as well introduce myself...
Post by: mk2mark on 11 October 2006, 09:51
Hi guys, recently inherited a 91 mk2 8v Gti  , it was the grandfathers car pretty much from new, so I'd kind of had a thing for them since then. It's in pristine condition and I plan on keeping it like that, I'm usually of the opinion that a car looks best as it came from the factory. Like I said in another thread this car's been impressing me no end, and my estimation of vw has gone up a lot in the last few weeks, even though it doesn't seem to be running 100% - although I'm in the process of sorting that out. Whats the Irish contingency like on here?

P.S. here she is with another little project of my own:

Thanks for the welcome guys, slim the car's not a caterham, it's a kit called a Luego - all that means is it's cheaper, has double wishbone suspension all round and instead of a normal engine it's got a Honda Fireblade engine under the bonnet. I have an out of date build diary at www.locoblade.2ya.com (http://www.locoblade.2ya.com) Weighs half as much of the Golf, so judging by how much fun the vdub is, it should be a barrel of laughs wneh it's on the road

Cheers guys! I'm really enjoying this car! Len, was in the North for a few weeks this summer -  if all these UK girls are the same, I certainly don't mind a bit of interest!

I'm already having naughty thoughts about an alfa v6, that detatchable front end would definitely come in handy! Has it been done before does anyone know?
