Title: 93 vr6 ecu/fuel pump relay numbers??
Post by: kniterider on 10 October 2006, 19:26
as above any one know what they are for the vr6?? it took some starting this morning as though no fuel, but went in the end, then at home time it took 8 attempts before it fired, got me home ok, then i turned it off to unlock the gate, started ok but as i was reversing it spluttered to a hault as though out of fuel, im sure i cant hear the fuel pump when im cranking it over  so im guessing its either packed up or the relay has died which ive read is common, so any help on the number for it?? and the one for the ecu as i cant be @rsed searching as theres so many threeads bowt problems similar...

cheers

couldnt see a '30' relay...

the fuel pump relay is '167' i removed this and bridged it with some wire, the pump started whirring and the car started, so i have now taken the top off the relay and all looks good, am gonna hook a 12v supply to the coil and see if it pulls the contact in, if it does its ok, as i dont wanna throw money at the car on bits it might not be!!, so if it is ok (looks it.. but we'll see) then ill have to start looking into which switch/sensor or the ecu that isnt giving the 12v signal for it to energise... i love electrical fault finding..

yes but im a tight get len!!!...... have sorted it anyways... a nice omron my4 n relay (12vdc) on a rs relay base and a few wires job done... lol... also has an overide switch built in and a lower dash mounted led so i know when fuel pump is on....  and the cost... zero... which is better than 12 quid ish... damn i could buy about 10-12 can of beer with that...

priorities are right i thinks...
