Title: 21st Anniversary - 8v mileages - how long will it last?
Post by: TonyC on 07 October 2006, 06:59
Looking to buying this car. Anything that I should look out for since it's done 174k miles. Does the 2.0 8V have much life left in it at these miles?

Thanks,
TC

Dont see why not - check it's been looked after. I reckon the gearbox will need some attention though.....

Er... thanks...! Not had a compliment like that before!

The rims are standard CC items, BBS Solitudes. They were also an option on later VR6s so have a look on eGay for them. I won't tell you I put 2 in the dump last month then....  :lipsrsealed:

Tony - that is a bit high but as long as its been well maintained it should give you thousands of miles still.

have a look at the buying guide in this section for tips. It starts with VR6 but is also for all Mk 3's
