Title: Another Car Insurance topic

Can anyone recommend a good company to go to insure my Mk1 1600 GTI.

I'm 20 (next week), and the car has no modifications (to speak for).

As a student i can't afford the crazy prices I've so far been quoted (well over 1000 quid)

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.... ?:)

due to the age of the car you may be able to get classic car insurance i have an '83 gti cab. and have classic car ins. with AON insurance at a very competive rate but whether they class the MK.1 saloon as a classic car i don't know but you can give them a call on 01384 455011 or e-mail  classiccarsdudley@aon.co.uk....WYN

Try Brentacre insurance...(Im 21...?940)

With no noclaims i would be very surprised to see a cheaper quote!!
