Hello. This is my first post here so hello.  :smiley:  :laugh: I've recently bought a mk4 and I am thinking about changing the normal chrome badges to black ones. Has anyone done this to there mk4s? It would be great to see some picture if anyone has any...?

....also how easy is it to do?

what about removing the front badge? i got the full grille kit for under 30squids off Egay.

I like the idea of a black badge but as my Golf is black, thought it might look like the badge had fallen off - still thinking about it.

My golf is dark grey and I'm thinking it would look nice if I got rid of any chrome looking details.... The windows are tinted so I'm thinking the black badge will go with this...?

What you do people think?

Cheers GazB. Looks nice. I especially like the front. It looks wicked on a black one like yours. Great job mate. How easy are they to remove and replace?

Front one just clips off and the back one is glued on, it comes off quite easy tho if you pour boiling water over it to soften the glue.

Looks loads better on the back if you remove all the other badges too

I got a mk4 GTI but it aint got a GTI badge on the front grill, did you car with one on it or did you pop into VW's and pick one up and if so are they easy to fit?

sure Gaz will correct me, but i think he's used an anniversary Golf front grille badge bracket and then customised it with the front GTI grille badge for the Polo??   :smiley:

Sounds abit complicated to me, same grill as mine only without the badge, I thought the badge could be a clip on or is the grill pre-moulded with a badge inset?
