goto a different insurance company then... your not forced to stay with them at all......you may be suprised that one years no claims makes hardly any difference to a quote.....

http://www.onequotedirect.co.uk/

try them for an online quote... £192 for a vr6 yes please sir...

why buy a p1ss poor car that you dont really want?? get the one you want and pay that bit extra on insurance, then you will be happy and so will we all!!

yeah but 3 yrs to 2 years makes a big difference on a gti to me at 20. i've looked into it all.. trust me! why lose out on a year, when i can get it cheaper if i hang on for another 2 months? seriousl, im as annoyed as anyone else. and i know some people have a problem with the way im doing things, but its the only way it will work for me, as i need a car, and cant insure the car i want until the beginning of december.

Insurance companies are good at takin your money but not so keen on handin it back

ive got 0 no claims , normally because i swapped my cars every 2-3 months and was on trade policies an always muckin about , if you find a decent enough company i dont think it makes too much of a massive difference

yeh but at the end of the day it doesnt matter a damn wat we on the forum think and whether we are happy. she could buy a dodgy fiesta and put neons on it if it made her happy. we wouldnt be impressed but at the end of the day that doesnt matter.

not gonna get in an argument about this cos i cant be bothered and i wasnt sniping at any people in particular lol so u dont need to get so defensive!

whats goin on? why's everyone got a problem with my posts all of a sudden!? the sale fell through? yes it can be deleted if it is that much of a problem!

sorry your sale fell through, that's always annoying.
But having to change cars and get something for just two months would have been more hassle than it's worth.
Just hold on to it a little longer, then you can get the cab you want and not lose any no claims.

I changed cars in the middle of my last insurance policy, in fact I was only about 4 months into the year, but because I changed cars and the existing company wouldn't do me a good quote, so I dumped them and switched.

Insurance is a pain, but if it wasn't compulsory in the UK (like some states in America) would you still insure your car?

Post by: ChrisO GolfO on 02 October 2006, 12:17
I insure because then im all legal and yes I would still insure if it wasnt the law because if I ever hit anyone in my car I couldnt afford to pay out court fees and massive health bills for the poor person recovering...

As for insurance being cheaper with different companies everyones different and there are soo many companies out there who taylor to suit certain people I find currently AA to be alright not the best quote but hey we will never know how good an insurance company is till its claim time...
