looking at what to get for my silver mk4 in the relm of 18" alloys for around £600ish, maybe a tad more. I would ideally like sum bbs RC's but can see them costing too much. I think the RS8 alloys would look a bit over the top. Just didnt know what wheels any1 else looked good on them and any pics ppl can show me would be great!
cheers

You can get the RC's for 800. How about some R32 wheels?
-
RS6's! :D
-
cant go wrong with R32 wheels, or what about Mark 5 GTI wheels? :undecided:
-
i think you need the whole R32 kit to make the wheels look good. seen a couple with just the wheels and they don't look that great IMO
How about the new look RS4's??? :undecided:
Have a look here for some ideas:

RC's look the best IMO

yeh after looking at them i think the chances are it will be some rs4's, or if i could find some anniversary alloys. Im not a fan of the RS6's and i dont think the RS8's suit a silver car. What about lowering? still going to look like a moon buggie after 35mm?? i still want to be able to take a car full of people with no grinding thats all.

that silver mark 4 with the black RS4's (i think thats what they are anyway) looks lush
-
30 - 35mm drop should be fine.  Any lower and you have to replace the front Anto-roll bar due to clearance issues etc.

i wasn't a big fan of the one tbh :undecided:
Worse thing about that thread is it gives me too many ideas of what wheels look good on mine

and thats a bad thing? get that credit card out

right.... looking like RS4's at the moment.... sam them on a black golf in a car park yesterday.... thing was i didnt dare go look at the tyre size incase it looked like i was theiving and if the owner came bk and he was a meathed football hooligan with biceps the size of china i would have been 'timmid' towards him. So whats the score? Who thinks 19" and who thinks 18"? then lower 30mm?
-
im looking to get rs4's aswell and i am just going to settle for 18". i think they will look just fine.i was also looking for the RC's but pretty costly.
some other bbs wheels suit the car i think but costly once again so 18" rs4's it is for me too bud.
i read alot about people taken 19's back off because of comfort and feeling every little pot hole going(or feeling like your going over a pot hole but actually its a 1 pence), but each to there own i suppose
-
18" it is then!! Cheers!!
