Title: '97 1.4 MAF
Post by: grimbo on 26 September 2006, 20:56
Hey,

At the weekend I went out in the car in the horrendous rain and it was really lumpy untill it got warmed up. I have seen this a few times before when it has been wet but yesterday it was the worst yet, it actually cut out once. I cleaned the throttle boday a wee while ago and that sorted out it cutting out at low revs in general.

Could this problem in the wet be caused by a dodgy/old MAF and if so where's the cheapest place to get a new one?

Or is it something else altogether and what will I need to do to fix it?

Thanks for your advice!

Graham

Hi mate,  It could just be damp getting into the distrbutor cap.
