OK, I am new to this forum so apologise if I am out of touch with the lingo...
Bascically I have a 1990 Golf GTI 8v that my dad has owned from new and was passed on to me 5 years ago. Like all of you here I have been a VW enthusiast ever sinse I can remember. However after 5 years I have decided to sell the Golf because I have a new car (Honda S2000) and can not afford to run both.
Now it pains me to sell the golf because it is in such good condition. I refuse to sell it to some 18 year old chav.
I need your help because I have no idea how much the car is worth and could do with your honest opinion on it's value to an ethusiast.
This car has a full service history
1 owner (my dad) sinse new
Metallic Blue colour
Kept in the garage every night sinse new (although in the last month its made way for the S2000)
It has only 78,000 miles on the clock
There is not a single spot of rust on the car
The car really is in mint condition and body work is perfect
I have made some modifications to the car but have kept the car as standard looking as possible. I have changed:
The sound system - sony head unit with door molds to hold 6 inch speakers and tweeters plus a rear stealth shelf
17inch OZ superleggera alloys
A full magnex exhaust system
G60 arches that have been colour coded with the body
a front splitter (colour coded)
crystal clear front lights
clear side indicators
K&Ni air filter
Only thing wrong with the car is that some chav has keyed some of the panels but have had an estimate of 300 pounds to fix this
Please tell me what you estimate this car is worth. I would like to sell it to someone who I know will look after it as me and my father have over the last 16 years.
Thanks!
P.S I tried to put pictures up but havent worked out how but am happy to email any pics.

hard one to call mate. simply because most people seem to be looking totally standard examples but yours is quite nice. u could maybe touch 2k for it on a good day but more realistically 1500 because of the scrape

Ok so assume i return the car to standard which would be easy to do and seel the wheel seperately?

remove the front splitter NOW, it's just wrong !

put it back to standard and you'd have no probs selling it.
