Title: Engine tuning

On a 84 Cab GTI, I cant seem to tune the air/Fuel Mixture. Either to much fuel, or to much air? I dont know. Does anyone know the "Magic Combination". You know maybe 2 turns to left of right for the fuel? Right now the acceleration is good but now to much smoke comin out the back.

Its a 1.8L L4 FI engine.
