Title: Going to DubSport in wigan to get my 1.8T Revo'd.. Little advice required please
Post by: muzauk on 24 September 2006, 20:44
Right thought sod it to many different remappers out there im going to use tried and tested Revo.  Wanted 200hp but looks like short of a new turbo and a custom remap im going to have to surfice with 190 no matter where i go because i have an AGU.  So im going to DubSport of wigan to get a revo remap.  question is im not to bothered about sound and the helpful guy at dubsport said i'd gain a few extra hp from a different filter namley a jetex panel filter is this true or is it just rubish. he said unless i wanted noise and induction kit was pointless.

Will i actually gain anything from a jetex panel filter.

Also at a later date i may chuck a manifold and exhaust on will the revo map cater for this or will that be a waste of time too.

Also any one had and Good / Bad experience of Dub Sport.

my brother ran a standard air filter on his s3 with a re-map, and only now he`s had some serious engine work done i.e 365bhp, has he changed his airfilter to a different panel filter, and  he`s still running the original air box.
not sure about the exhaust and manifold though

i had a milltek system fitted cat-back on my car prior to APR remap and was told by everyone i spoke to it would give a few extra bhp compared to the standard exhaust system. i'm not a big believer in all the figs banded around by these companies tho and am sure smaller mods like exhaust and air filters make minimal difference really. if u gettin a non custom remap then imagine u could fit air panels/exhausts after the re-map and it will produce the same effects as if u had them already on the car prior to chipping?? sure someone will corect me if i'm wrong
