Problem with my vw gti can anyone help



Vw Golf Gti 2001



Following fault found?



17748 - camshaft position sensor (G40)/ engine speed sensor (G28). Incorrect correlation P1340 - 35.00--



What does this mean and how can I fix it?

I'd say its likly the crank sensor has given up the ghost, (engine speed sensor (G28))  Do a quick search on ebay theres a guy on there who sells em brand new for not much dosh :)
