Title: Mileage clock
Post by: boyob32 on 22 September 2006, 17:13
Silly noob question but....i messed around with my mileage clock and now it gives your total mileage after your journey.
How do i change it back so that it gives my running mileage as i drive?!?!?!

my answer is based upon my assuming you have either a half height of full height display between your speedo and RPM counter

on the end of the wiper there are two buttons.  press these to cycle through the options.

or you may have changed between the two memories.  on the underside of the wiper stalk is a button marked 'reset'  Press this once to change it back.

Hope that helps

Thanks fot that but i have a feeling my controller doesn't work as i have been led to believe that it my be just a dummy control.

How can i find out if my golf has been fitted with the multi function control?

it's a 99 2.0 gti...

as far as i'm aware your model should have full functioning control. my car ia a 1.8T GTI registered before yours and has fully functional trip meters. If the reset button on the underside of your wiper blade does not switch you between your current journey details and your overall journey details it may be something as simple as the switch has stopped working. pop into your local dealer who can be surprisingly helpful with little questions like this.
