Hello all, some newbie style questions coming up. Would like to tighten up the handling of my 1999 non turb. Could anyone give me some pointers on a decent wheel/tyre size and suspension package. Not got a massive budget but would be very grateful for some vw wisdom.
Cheers

hello....i have 18" RS6 replicas on mine which came with reasonable tyres (not had any complaints about them at all) about £650 all in fitted. that was last november?? so you can prob get replicas packages cheaper now. U can fit 19" on mark 4s without any further mods i believe, depends what look u want to go for. If u on a budget suspension wise u just want a set of springs, Eibach are very good, 35mm-40mm drop prob paying about £150 for the parts.

if you want to tighten up the handling look at fitting a rear anti-roll bar. think they are around £180 or so :undecided:
be careful when dropping the car too much. If you go more than 45mm (i think) you'll have to change the front roll-bar as there isn't enough clearance.
most stuff is covered in the forum so have a search through  then ask if it ain't covered
