in the event of a crash and the insurance company decide to check the car over.... is there any way that they can detect if the car is revo'd?
-
generally psekaing i don't think they can but why run the risk of not telling them :undecided:
if you get caught then you're screwed in every way imaginable.
not worth the risk IMO. Depending on your age and NCB's i doubt your insurance would go up by much. Best thing to do is ring around several companies to get quotes.

Elephant were okay with mods on our car.
Well, when I say okay I mean they didn't charge the earth, despite the fact I'm 22 and made a claim last year.

Sorry if its cheeky to ask but how much did it go up for which mods?
thanks!

No remap is undetectable, because to achieve the increase in power you have to change the eprom binary code in the ecu, so all they have to do is compare this to the factory code and they will see the difference.

Hm, missed this post... sorry!
It didn't, they just said if we crashed/had it repaired by them it'd go back to standard. They were all cosmetic mods, so that's probably why...
We're with HIC now on both cars with all mods declared. I think you'd be suprised how little difference it makes...
